The Dog Days of Summer aren’t over yet—join us for the 5th Annual Labor Day Weekend Kickoff supporting Heartland Pet Rescue.

Chef Ralph of Highlands Express Meals will offer a special à la carte BBQ menu, and the winery will be pouring Secret Gardens wines, local beer, dog-themed wine cocktails and a frozen wine slushy.

Admission is free, and general patio seating will be available first-come, first-served.

Reserve your pack’s table!

A limited number of covered-patio and indoor tables may be reserved in advance. Each reservation secures one table for up to six guests with a $50 prepaid deposit. Dogs are permitted at covered-patio tables only.

The entire $50 will be credited toward the table’s wine and beer tab during the event. Food is purchased separately. Any unused credit or no-show deposit will be donated to Heartland Pet Rescue.

Reserved tables must be claimed by 6:30 PM. Tables not claimed by 6:30 PM may be released to walk-in guests.

Approximately half of the patio will remain available for walk-in seating.

Help Heartland Pet Rescue continue providing care, comfort and second chances to local animals in need.

For every $5 donated, you’ll receive one chance to win wine or other prizes generously donated by local dog lovers and businesses.

The more you give, the more chances you’ll have to win—and every donation makes a difference for an animal waiting for its next chapter and forever home.

No purchase or donation is necessary to attend the event. Prize-drawing eligibility, entry instructions and official rules will be available before the event.

Are table reservations and donations the same payment?

No. A table reservation is a $50 prepaid credit toward that table’s wine and beer tab. General donations support Heartland Pet Rescue and are processed separately.

Food purchases are not included in either payment.

Can a business sponsor the event or donate a prize?

Yes. We welcome gift certificates, products, services and gift baskets from local businesses and dog lovers. Sponsorship opportunities begin at $25.

Where are dogs allowed?

Dogs are welcome on the covered outdoor patio only. They are not permitted inside the tasting room or inside the barn where the adoption event is being held.

If someone in your party goes inside, the dog must remain outside with another responsible adult.

What are the rules for bringing a dog?

All dogs must remain on a standard leash and under their owner’s control at all times. Retractable leashes are not permitted.

Please bring only friendly, well-socialized dogs that are current on vaccinations. Owners are responsible for supervising their dogs, giving other animals appropriate space and cleaning up after them.

Dogs displaying aggressive, disruptive or unsafe behavior may be asked to leave the event.
